• Is there an accessible water source nearby?
• When will the sun shine on your garden, when will the wind blow?
• What other features on site will help or harm the health of our garden?
• What is the quality of our soil?
• How does water natually flow and percolate on and thorugh our soil?
• Where will we take our produce? How will we get it there?
• What climate zone do we live in? When are the first and last frosts of the season?
• How can we make the most of the limited space available?
• How will lay out garden beds, pathways, and fences?
