Westar Energy Green Team
The Green Team is volunteers from Westar Energy who, among other environmental initiatives, helps schools with environmental education. We always encourage or require student, teacher, and parental involvement in projects. These may include tree planting, prairie restoration, wetland creation, or providing access to outdoor areas by building bridges or walkways. We have also helped numerous schools establish Outdoor Wildlife Learning Sites (OWLS-KDW&P) and will help with visioning and planning. The Green Team is often able to provide all materials needed for these projects.
