How are you incorporating your environmental projects into your school's curriculum?: 
Currently our Art teacher, Christine Garrett is using reusing containers to create underwater creatures. We have a Greenhouse recently constructed at the west end of our playground and we have an afterschool program partnered with Kansas State University involving 4th and 5th graders. We also have recycle bins in our teacher workroom and bins in each teacher's classroom. The autism coordinator involves his students in collecting and transferring the materials to our local recycling center; Howie's.
Accomplishments: 
We are just getting started! A year ago Theodore Roosevelt became a "Green School" in conjunction with a Green program sponsered by Sunset Zoo. Two educational program coordinators visited our school every week and taught 30minutes sessions on composting, recycling, water usage etc. We are eager to do our part . I hosted a viewing of "An Inconvenient Truth early in 2007-2008 school year and contacted the Zoo to get a Green Program going. We are becoming more "green" in small steps.
