As of September '08 we have every classroom involved in some aspect of enviromentalism. All classrooms this year have adopted some outdoor area on school grounds to maintain. This includes weeding, beautification and trash pick-up. All classrooms have a recycling bin in thier classroom. The 6th graders pick up all recycling bins on Friday afternoons and empty them in the recycling bin we had placed in the back lot of our school. We have also begun a community outreach program to encourage families to begin recycling and place these items in our back parking lot bin. The 4th grade classrooms have recently attended a function put on by KSU extension explaining water quality and ways to prevent erosion and water degration.
