We recycle paper, cans, bottles, cardboard, and newspaper/magazines on a daily basis. We participated in graffitti cover up at our local park and picked up trash. We also bought trees to plant on Arbor Day. For all these projects we provided snacks, drinks, and rewards to the students to promote participation. We purchased some curriculum which we will incorporate into our lessons throughout the year. A big part of the grant went to help us get set up and organized to be really great at recycling! We are attending the conservation center in Garden City to better understand more about animals and our environment.
