How are you incorporating your environmental projects into your school's curriculum?:
Agricultural classes have an entire natural resource unit that explores the wise use and stewardship of our resources. Biology courses conduct water quality studies at local ponds and creeks. Chemistry courses discuss technology and waste reduction as it applies to polymers and recycling of these products. Our Biology club is in charge of our communities recycling program and our efforts are tied to state standards regarding the human impact of these resources.
We really don't have any yet. We are looking to become a green school. We have however, been recycling for approximately twenty years through our Biology Club. The agricultural classes have constructed a butterfly garden and a collaborative team of teachers were successful in building a twelve-acre tall grass prairie for school and community use.
