How are you incorporating your environmental projects into your school's curriculum?: 
Paper recycling coordinated with science and life skills departments. Collection of food scraps from cafeteria for composting. Utilizing reclaimed building resources for outdoor education projects, Sequestering carbon with biochar and deeply rooted perennials. Students start edible plants indoors to plant in small vegetable garden. Maintaining orchard to learn tree planting, care and maintenance. Establishing over 1 acre of land set aside as prairie containing native Kansas wildflowers and grasses for ecological investigations. Researching the impact of native plants on soil micro-fauna. Restored wetlands are planted with native riparian vegetation for water testing, ecosystem filtration research and multi-species interaction studies. Currently researching: Ways to regeneratively regulate the growth of cattails, both Typha latifolia and Typha angustifolia.
Providing embedded-internships through environmental science work in and out of the classroom. Offering a peaceful park full of native wildlife open to all community members during troubling times. Student/professor collaboration with Art and Landscape Architecture departments at Kansas State University on Drawing the Prairie Mural Awarded grants through tiny mighty Wendat (Unified Govt. of Wyandotte) County, Lowes, Kansas Department of Wildlife Parks & Tourism and the Environmental Protection Agency.
