Items 1-4 are being done throughout the school year. The School cleanup day was conducted on Thursday, 9 Apr. 65 OHS students participated in various activities on and off the school campus, a hamburger cookout celebration was held at the end of the worktime. 52 7&8 students held a field day on Friday, 8 May at the Nech Habitat site on the North Solomon River near Harlan,KS. Activities for the day included water testing for chemical pollutants, hunting for aquatic invertebrates to judge water quality, collecting and identifying fish species, and identifying terrestrial plant and animal species. The grade school teachers and students planted Kansas wildflowers in the Outdoor Learning Area. Recycling Bins are being placed in the gym area of the school.
