These projects are being started with students with special needs in mind. The name of their class is labled as a Functional Life-Skills Classroom(FLC). The students are very hard working and are included with the general population of students in many subject areas including science. The staff here think that adapting projects that focus on the environment and how to conserve and respect what we have will be a great addition to the curriculum already in place. These projects will act like unit lessons and can take as long as they need to. There is a lot of flexibility in the directions that we can take. Part of it will depend on what the students find interests in.
