Students learn that reduction, reuse and recycling are viable options at our school. Recycling bins will be manned by the students, and they will encourage other students to use them for recycling plastic, aluminum and paper. The outdoor study/reflection area will have benches and tire mulch, with a dedication plaque that declares the benches and mulch as examples of post-consumer products. Students will see recycling at its beginning and its end, learning about the other steps, and minimizing environmental trade-offs, through the curriculum.
