River Clean Up; Field trip to Garden City Recycling Center where students learned how recycling creates jobs, conserves energy, and saves our natural resouces and to the Lee Richardson Zoo eco center where students explored bio-facts and touched live animals; purchased recycling bins for teachers rooms - recycled goods will then be collected by students and put into larger bins that will be picked up by CREW recycling. Participated in Arbor Day by planting trees on school grounds and a local park; purchased litter bags for each student to promote cleaner school grounds
