Our BSE Green Team is totally committed to our world focus for the next school year. Leading up to that, the entire staff joined together on June 3rd to "refresh" our building and grounds with over $1000 of trees, scrubs, and flowers. The money was earned, in part, through our recycling program. Every effort is being made to coordinate our efforts with State and local agencies so that the latest techniques and strategies are employed in our landscape design. Consideration is made for the type and number of plants we grow and how they will enhance not only the beauty of our school, but improve the habitat for desirable insects and birds, reduce energy costs with natural shading, and reduce watering and maintenance costs by using intelligent design.
