PBA Architects is an architectural firm based in Wichita, KS that specializes in PK-12 educational projects across the state of Kansas.
One of our recent projects is Erie High Charter School: http://eriehighcharterschool.com/. Erie High Charter School is a new project based high school completed in the fall of 2010 seeking LEED* Gold status. The new school uses geothermal energy for heating and cooling, daylighting, recycling and other green strategies to create an environmentally friendly building as well as create a better learning environment. It also achieves better indoor air quality through better design.
*LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.
PBA has a long history of helping schools with green projects. We act as advisors for many school green teams and may act as a resource to the school by providing a knowledgeable speaker.
PBA may give professional advice for projects and project budgets to help solve problems the schools may experience.
PBA also has many connections with engineers and contractors that may be of help to the school.
