Bring It Up!
The Assembly That Changed The World'
….is a highly entertaining and thought provoking reflection on environmental sustainability. This new one act play is designed to be presented as an all (or partial) school assembly and is timed to fit into a typical single class period.
It features your local talent and presents ideas about ways to take care of our Kansas environment. If your school doesn’t have a Drama Department, it’s equally well suited for use by your Environmental Action or Science Club. It is also an excellent short production for Community Theater Groups to present to audiences of all ages. In fact, we encourage you to adapt Bring It Up! into a full length, multiple act stage production!
As part of our mission to provide education and outreach specific to environmental stewardship, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s Bureau of Waste Management worked with Playwright Penny Weiner of Washburn University and other highly qualified and respected artists to bring you Bring It Up!
An entire tool kit of materials is available to assist you in presenting… Bring It Up! includes:
- Suggestions for props, choreography and ‘approach’
- Set and costume design ideas
- A Copyrighted Script
- Music CD
Use of the copyrighted script and full materials listed above are available without cost to your school or organization. All we ask in return is that you let us know when you plan to present, Bring It Up! as we may want to join you in the audience to enjoy the show!
To order your complete set of materials simply contact me and we will rush Bring It Up! to your stage door!
